Brad Green

Brad Green regularly handles complex civil matters through trial and appeal at all stages. Focusing almost entirely on civil litigation, Brad maintains a busy trial practice involving complex domestic relations/family law cases, business/commercial litigation, retaliatory discharge defense, real estate disputes, and various other civil and probate matters.


Brad has successfully tried complex multi-year cases to verdicts in both bench and jury trials and successfully defended those verdicts through the entire appellate process. He has also won cases before the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals and the Alabama Supreme Court, and several of his cases have been published in the Southern Reporter.

In addition to his trial practice, Brad regularly uses informal negotiation and formal mediation to help clients resolve cases without the costs of going to trial.


Brad is originally from Corner, Alabama, and graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law (J.D. 2006). While in law school, Brad was a member of the school's national trial team. Brad obtained his bachelor's degree from Birmingham-Southern College (B.A. 2003), where he majored in Political Science.

Brad Green has practiced law in Alabama since 2006. Brad’s experience trying cases across Alabama for almost 20 years has given him the chance to represent clients in small towns and our large cities. His practice is 100% focused on civil litigation. Brad divides his time between his Firm's offices in Oneonta and Birmingham, Alabama, but he is routinely retained to handle cases across the State. Brad has been AV-Rated (Preeminent-Highest Rating available) by Martindale-Hubbell for over a decade. He has been listed in SuperLawyers magazine as a Rising Star.

Brad's practice is focused on family law, business disputes, and probate litigation. Brad regularly handles complex civil matters at all stages through trial and appeal. He has appeared in the majority of Alabama's judicial circuits and is a regular speaker at various continuing legal education seminars. Brad has successfully tried cases to a jury verdict and has successfully argued cases before the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals and the Supreme Court of Alabama. Brad has represented individual and business clients in multi-million-dollar litigation. Brad frequently handles some of the most difficult family law cases involving divorce, child custody, and interstate custody disputes. In probate courts, Brad regularly handles contested guardianships and estate litigation, as well has helping clients through the probate process where there is not fight, but the clients need an experienced lawyer to guide them through it.


Brad is a proud graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law. While in Law School Brad was chosen to be a member of the UA School of Law’s National Trial Team, where he spent two years learning from outstanding lawyers and competing against some of the best law students across the country in mock trial competitions. It was this experience that caused Brad to want to spend his career helping clients in a courtroom. Brad was also a Senior Editor of the Law & Psychology Review and was a two-time recipient of the George Peach Taylor Award for Trial Advocacy. Brad is also proud to have served as law clerk to the Hon. Tom King, Jr., 10th Judicial Circuit of Alabama, where he learned an immeasurable amount about what it takes to succeed in a courtroom. 


Outside of his practice, Brad enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. His interests include American political history, international politics, college football, and whatever his young son is interested in at any given time. Brad and his family are active members of Trinity United Methodist Church in Birmingham. Brad has spent over 25 years working as a volunteer staff member with the Alabama Boys State program (a leadership and civics program sponsored by the American Legion in 49 States and Washington, DC). Brad is also very involved in the Corner High School Alumni Association, where he is a member of the executive board, a past-president, and chair of the scholarship committee. The Corner High Alumni Association is the oldest high school alumni association in Alabama (over 103 years old), and awards tens-of-thousands in scholarships each year to graduating seniors.
